Raging Thirst

There are no new Guatemala updates for today, but I did what to share something I believe the Lord led me to read a few days ago and is still burning strong in me:

Psalm 63 begins by saying:

“O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.”

“Here David uses metaphors of raging thirst to describe how desperately he wants to experience God’s refreshing presence. He takes his soul’s longing up a notch by articulating it in physical terms-his soul and his body long for God: a desire so intense that only an encounter with the lover of his soul will revive him.” – Women of Faith Study Bible excerpt

What is it that you long and thirst for? Direction? A spouse? A child? Acceptance? Ultimately, all of our voids can be filled only one way…have you discovered  Him?
