Lower than a Servant Girl

“Be encouraged that humbling seasons are for our ultimate benefit, though painful and well, humbling.

Let me encourage you not to resist the process of humility. When God has ordained the humbling, you can be wholly certain that His love is the catalyst, and the process is forming in you a meek and gentle heart, preparing you for the abundance ahead. If God has you in the place of a servant girl – or even beneath one – humble yourself under His mighty hand. In due time, He will lift you up.”

“He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heaps; he seats them with princes, with princes of their people. He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the Lord.” (Psalm 113:7-9)
